The Seeker is a chrome extension that I created as a fun and interactive virtual pet that lives in your browser.

I was inspired to put this together because I’m a longtime fan of the classic Neko “screenmate” software that was popular in the 90s. I wanted to create a modern version of this concept that could be easily accessed through a web browser. Another inspiration was the old eSheep desktop buddy that was popular in the late 90s, early 2000s. It was useless, but it was fun to have a little companion on your desktop that would interact with you and provide some entertainment. (Here’s a thread with users reminiscing about eSheep on Reddit. Those sheep are instantly recognizable!)

Thus, I created The Seeker as a cute and interactive virtual pet that can be accessed through a Chrome extension. It features a small character that can move around the screen, interact with the user, and provide some entertainment while browsing the web.
