AI Apps & Games
To say there’s “buzz” around AI is an understatement. From chatbots to image generators, it seems like every day there’s a new tool or application making waves. I’ve been experimenting with a few myself, and it’s fascinating to see how quickly the technology is advancing.
There’s a new type of app that caught my attention recently, one that I predicted was coming but maybe not so soon - Gizmo. Gizmo is an app that allows users to create their own mini apps through AI prompts, no coding knowledge neccesary. The interface is user-friendly, and the possibilities seem endless.
Having wrapped up on FarCry: New Dawn, I’ve been diving into The Alters on GamePass.
tl;dr - You’re stranded on an inhospitable and lonely planet trying to survive. You won’t be able to do it alone and so the protaganist is forced to create alternate versions of himself – the alters. It’s a fascinating blend of narrative-driven gameplay and strategic decision-making. Equal parts base building, inventory management, and exploration.
The storyline is really the best part so far which is not something you’ll hear me say often. It’s gripping, and the character development is top-notch. It’s less about shooting and killing and more about making choices that impact the story’s outcome. If you’re into games that make you think and feel, this one’s worth checking out.
Hobby Update
Found a few packs of 1990 Upper Deck baseball cards at a local shop. Opened them up and found some fun hits, George Brett & Roger McDowell. The nostalgia hit hard, reminding me of the days when I used to collect these cards as a kid. It’s also fun to see how much the design and quality of baseball cards have evolved over the years. My peak of collecting was in the late 80s and early 90s, so this was a nice little trip down memory lane without all the color variations, refractors, and other nonsense that came later. Just good old baseball cards.
Food & Drink
Been trying out Cometeer frozen coffee pods lately, and I’m really impressed. The convenience of having high-quality coffee that’s quick to prepare is a game-changer for my mornings.
The pods ship flash frozen to lock in freshness and flavor. You can just pop a pod in hot water, and you get a rich, flavorful cup of coffee without the hassle of brewing. Want it icy? Just let the pod come up to room temp and pour it over ice. It’s a great option for busy mornings or when you want a quick pick-me-up without sacrificing quality.
And with a ton of different blends, roasts and even well known brewers to choose from, there’s something for every coffee lover. So
I’m sure this sounds like an ad but I promise it’s not - and your proof is in the amount of traffic this blog gets (next to none lol). But hey, these posts are more for me to look back on than anything else. If you try it out, let me know what you think!
