Snowing in late March…Again

20110323-101505.jpg

Ugh another snowy March day.
Another train ride into Manhattan with my trusty book (Chuck Thompson’s, To Hellholes and Back: Bribes, Lies, and the Art of Extreme Tourism”) in one hand and my morning coffee in the other.

Bad morning, gone good.

Caffe from Kaffe 1668

My evening jolt is a little hard to see today. That’s because I went with my co-workers down the street to Kaffe 1668, arguably in my top 5 coffee stops in Manhattan. The aura in this place is great. Dimly lit (aka, no lights at all) with some acid jazz playing the background.

I got my usual Iced Soy Latte, above, and it’s delightful.

Day 2 of the Caffeine Saga

Feeling good today. Check the timestamp on this post…go head I’ll give you a few seconds………that’s right I made my train on time today.

Today’s morning coffee is not simply a ritual, but a celebration!

Lunch Coffee

Another usual suspect…the after lunch coffee. This one is a necessity. With 3hrs left in the work day I start “losing it.”

The crew is talking about filing taxes today…

Daily Breakfast

You can find me with this combination of food and beverage every M-F b/w 10 and 11am.

In our office there are two coffee types brewed continuously, “House Blend” (pictured above with 2% milk) and “Major Dickason”. I drink them interchangeably. Neither are very good but they are often better than a Keurig or other pod based coffee.

Which leads me to my next point…who is Major Dickinson and whats his relation to da beans?!

Late Morning Train

I got held up for a good half hour at Wachov…I mean Wells Fargo. Its been a week since the transition and every transaction I’ve had so far has been painstaking.

So I’m on a later train, but still managed to grab my morning Joe from the train station cafe. Actually, what is the name of that place? Does it have one?

Did I mention it’s snowing?!
